The McKinsey Tech Ecosystem function develops and delivers all technological solutions for the firm’s internal use. You will work in a product team with engineers, designers, and product managers, building application solutions to deliver impactful AI tools that leverage firm data. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help build and scale next‑generation digital tools used across the firm. The team spans North America, Europe, and Latin America, focusing on secure, intelligent platforms that empower people, streamline operations, and enable smarter decision‑making. Your role involves writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining application code using core technologies, while staying current with emerging tech and industry trends—cloud, security, automation, AI—and applying them to build robust, forward‑looking solutions. Your Qualifications and Skills Years of software development experience. Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with API design patterns and languages such as Golang, Elixir, Rust is a plus. Knowledge of secure, scalable, and performant cloud services such as AWS, with identity protocols like OAuth, SAML, and JWT, and databases like Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB.
