We are a new and innovative CTV OS challenging the status quo by working with a market-leading OEM to provide content discovery for streaming platforms, as well as integrating FAST channels alongside traditional broadcast TV channels. We are gearing up for rapid expansion across European markets. Role Overview We are looking for a Legal Counsel with a strong focus on data protection and digital advertising law for our global digital advertising and data-driven organization. The role is based in Barcelona and will be part of the Legal & Compliance team. You will act as the go-to advisor on privacy and data protection compliance matters, while also supporting commercial law topics and bridging the legal and technology worlds in an international environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that our programmatic advertising products and internal processes meet the highest standards of data protection, in particular under GDPR, ePrivacy, and industry standards such as IAB TCF v2.2. This is a hands‑on role where you will oversee and provide support on privacy-related product and process requirements, liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including external counsel), and draft, review, and negotiate data agreements. Key Responsibilities Privacy compliance and internal support Support and drive the implementation and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Provide expert legal advice on privacy, data protection, and digital law. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define standards and ensure proper implementation of controls, features, and workflows in our programmatic advertising ecosystem. Support on compliance and conduct queries across projects. Translate regulatory requirements into actionable product and process requirements. Collaborate with engineering, product management, and commercial teams to ensure privacy compliance is embedded into product design. Legal & Contractual Expertise Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Data Privacy Addendums, and related contractual and policy documentation. Ensure consistency and compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, and industry frameworks (including IAB TCF v2.2). Data Protection Governance Maintain and oversee key compliance documentation, including RoPAs, DPIAs, Transfer Impact Assessments, and records of lawful bases for processing. Support internal stakeholders with privacy impact assessments and risk management processes. Liaise with external counsel to deliver timely, pragmatic, and commercially aligned legal solutions. Nice to have Cybersecurity & Certifications Collaborate with Cybersecurity and InfoSec teams to support documentation and processes related to certifications (ISO 27001, ISO 27018/19, etc.). Contribute to compliance materials for audits, certifications, and external assessments. Requirements Qualified Lawyer in Spain (Bar admission required). 5 years of experience in data protection and privacy law, ideally within AdTech, digital media, or related industries. Strong knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, and European data protection frameworks. Hands‑on experience drafting and assessing DPAs, Data Privacy Addendums, and commercial agreements with privacy implications. Familiarity with IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). Proven track record in managing GDPR compliance processes (RoPAs, DPIAs, Transfer Impact Assessments, etc.). Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business and product solutions. Experience in coordinating with external counsel. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Experience working closely with Cybersecurity / InfoSec teams. Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 27018/19, or other relevant certifications. Experience in programmatic advertising, OTT/CTV, or Smart TV ecosystems. Reasons to apply: Change the future of TV!
