Senior Network Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer (SC Cleared) to join our infrastructure team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, resilient networks across government and high-assurance environments. You'll work across hybrid infrastructures spanning on-premises and cloud (Azure and AWS), supporting critical services that help keep the UK connected and secure. What you'll be doing: Designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Implementing secure connectivity solutions including VPNs, firewalls, SD-WAN, and cloud-native networking. Collaborating closely with security and compliance teams to make sure there is alignment with government and industry standards. Troubleshooting complex network issues across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba etc.). Creating and maintaining technical documentation for network designs, configurations, and operational processes. What you'll bring: Demonstrable experience working in enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and firewalls). Strong knowledge of cloud networking technologies such as Azure Virtual WAN and AWS VPCs. Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and network security appliances. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to operate in high-assurance environments. Active SC clearance (or eligibility to obtain). A collaborative approach and the ability to support colleagues when required, including acting as a second-line technical backup. It would be great if you had: Industry standard certifications such as: Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer.
