About the Role The Finance team keeps Revolut moving with clarity and confidence. From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long‑term plans and plays a key role in how we scale. We’re looking for a tech‑savvy, results‑oriented CFO to assist the CEO in leading ongoing and steady growth in New Zealand. You’ll introduce new features to the local market and guide our transition toward a banking model. You’ll manage and coordinate all aspects of finance, from financial control and trading to accounting, tax, and treasury. We need someone with vision and ideas who will roll up their sleeves and get involved to tackle any challenge. What You’ll Be Doing Leading accounting, as well as financial and regulatory reporting Overseeing treasury and local balance sheet management Providing commercial and operational management information to support rapid expansion Advising the business whilst overseeing the day‑to‑day finance operations Understanding and communicating financial performance, risks, and financial management to leadership and advisory board Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process Driving an increase in overall financial performance Assuming responsibility for taxation and regulatory reporting requirements required locally to ensure compliance Being the point of contact for regulatory and compliance enquiries Performing risk management functions by overseeing liabilities and investments Deciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks Controlling and evaluating fundraising plans and capital structure Ensuring cash flow is appropriate to support operations Providing support to external consultants, and managing timely and effective audits Managing the NZ treasury function and ensuring all capital liquidity functions are met What You’ll Need 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role within banking A solid understanding of a bank’s balance sheet, key regulatory ratios, accounting of securities portfolios, loans, and hedge accounting principles Expertise in FP&A and forecasting to enhance regional sophistication around trends and future opportunities The ability to build a bank's PnL and balance sheet (with key ratios) model from scratch To be a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries A positive “can do” attitude and willingness to give everything a go, from manual processing to larger projects Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations and regulatory bodies in New Zealand An entrepreneurial drive A background in accounting, treasury/risk, or investment banking Excellent communication and project management skills The ability to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure Experience recruiting and leading a team of senior finance professionals A demonstrated ability to think and reason logically Nice to have Startup experience, or the agility to adapt to a rapidly‑growing environment Building a global financial super app isn’t enough.
