Senior Enterprise Storage Analyst Contract Length: 1 year Location: Calgary hybrid in office 3 days a week Raise is currently hiring a Senior Storage Analyst team member on behalf of our client, a leading financial institution. Join our client as an Enterprise Storage Analyst and play a key role in delivering Data Center and Private Cloud modernization projects while ensuring system reliability and performance. Description As part of the Technology Renewal Program (TRP), our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Storage Analyst to strengthen the Data Center Operations team and support 2026 objectives. This role will focus on enhancing storage systems, implementing key improvements, and maintaining infrastructure stability across enterprise environments. The successful candidate will work on high-impact projects, including implementing synchronous replication, auditing backup configurations, and managing enterprise SAN infrastructure. This position requires a deep technical background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced IT operations environment. Responsibilities: Administer and optimize enterprise storage systems within Data Center and Private Cloud environments. Deploy synchronous storage replication between HPE Alletra arrays across geographically separated data centers to enable zero-data-loss protection for critical volumes. Manage and maintain Enterprise SAN Fabric (Brocade) infrastructure. Audit and validate backup configurations against recovery requirements (RPO, RTO, and retention policies). Lead and participate in change, incident, and release management for storage and compute stacks. Troubleshoot storage-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to design, test, and document medium-to-high complexity scripts or programs. Ensure information security controls are integrated into all storage solutions. Review system designs to confirm efficient technology selection, resource use, and multi-system integration. Qualifications: 10 years of enterprise IT experience supporting large-scale, multi-platform environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Proven expertise in HPE Alletra storage arrays, Brocade Director Class switches, and HPE Synergy Blade administration. Proficiency in analyzing root causes and implementing efficient resolutions. Strong understanding of enterprise IT service management and ITIL processes. Strong understanding of storage protocols — iSCSI, Fibre Channel, FCoE, and NFS/SMB. Advanced problem-solving, communication, and incident management skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation technologies (vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, Aria Suite). Broad understanding of information security and risk mitigation within storage and compute systems. Additional Information Some after-hours work may be required for planned maintenance and deployments.
