Facility/Maintenance Support Engineer

Below are the details of the position: Industry: IT Job Title: Facility/Maintenance Support Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Mode of Job: Hybrid Locations: Toronto or Quebec Contract: 6 Months Overview We are seeking experienced Electrical Facility Support Engineers for contract positions at critical datacenter facilities in Toronto, ON, and Quebec City, QC. You will be responsible for the operational integrity and maintenance of advanced electrical infrastructure. This full-time, onsite role requires working rotating 12-hour night shifts and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform daily monitoring, preventive maintenance, and repairs on critical electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs. Respond to facility incidents, troubleshoot complex electrical faults, and follow all emergency operating procedures. Oversee and escort third-party electrical contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Use a CMMS to track electrical asset maintenance and manage work orders. Core Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems in a critical environment (e.g., datacenter, manufacturing, hospital). Certifications: A valid OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification is mandatory. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Canadian Government Reliability Status (requires 5 years of continuous Canadian residency). Schedule: Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
