Core Values Be the Solution Say it, Do it Listen First, Talk Last Be Balanced Under Promise, Over Deliver Keep It Simple Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll lead the Finance function and a team of 3, bringing financial strategy, governance, and commercial acumen to an energetic, values-driven team. Our main criteria will be around how well you fit into the Four Faces of the CFO – Steward, Operator, Strategist, and Catalyst. What You’ll Be Doing Steward – Protecting and Strengthening the Business You’ll ensure the financial integrity, governance, and resilience of Dynamics G-Ex as we scale globally. Maintain robust governance, risk, and compliance frameworks across all jurisdictions. Oversee annual financial statements, audits, and external reporting. Safeguard company assets through effective insurance, controls, and assurance processes. Lead by example in cybersecurity and information security best practice. Design internal controls and reporting frameworks that scale for international operations and regulatory regimes. Guide capital structure and dividend policy decisions that balance growth and stability. Operator – Driving Financial Performance and Efficiency You’ll lead a high-performing finance function that drives clarity, accountability, and operational excellence. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance reporting. Monitor key financial and operational metrics to drive profitability and cashflow. Lead treasury operations, including cashflow forecasting, funding proposals, and banking relationships. Design and govern a finance operating model that supports global, multi‑entity, multi‑currency operations. Drive digital transformation across finance systems to improve accuracy, automation, and scalability. Develop and mentor a capable, values‑aligned finance team that thrives on accountability and collaboration. Strategist – Shaping the Future of Growth You’ll be a strategic partner to the Managing Director and leadership team, shaping the company’s direction and enabling sustainable global expansion. Contribute to strategic planning, market and pricing analysis, and scenario modelling. Evaluate and execute M&A and investment opportunities that align with long‑term objectives. Provide a global finance perspective on entity structuring, foreign exchange, taxation, and cross‑border investment. Advise on capital markets readiness, funding options, and international scaling strategies. Support capital allocation and long‑term planning to sustain innovation, agility, and profitability. Catalyst – Driving Change and Embedding Culture You’ll act as a change agent and cultural leader, connecting financial insight to every part of the business. Champion financial literacy and commercial acumen across all teams. Collaborate with commercial, operations, and IT functions to drive business-wide improvement initiatives (pricing, cost optimisation, procurement efficiency). Lead transformation projects that simplify, automate, and future‑proof financial processes. Model collaboration, simplicity, and our family‑first company values in every decision. Skills and Experiences – Who You Are You’re a finance leader who can roll up your sleeves and think strategically — someone who thrives in a growing, entrepreneurial business. Essential 8 years in senior finance leadership (private sector). Proven success scaling a mid‑ to large‑sized organisation through significant growth (>$100M turnover). CA, CPA or CIMA qualified. Strong grasp of governance, forecasting, capital management, and compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Advanced Excel and systems aptitude. Desirable Experience in international markets, mining, or B2B wholesale. Exposure to MYOB EXO or similar ERP systems. Postgraduate qualifications in Business or Commerce.
