Key Duties Include Advising clients on privacy risks and compliance obligations Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments utilising Privacy by Design or Privacy Impact Assessment frameworks to offer pragmatic solutions Conducting gap analyses or privacy audits for our clients, including testing the maturity or effectiveness of their privacy management programs Providing clear, tailored advice on privacy law interpretation and application Delivering presentations and reports to clients Undertaking legal and policy research to support consulting, training and publications Developingprivacy-related training, tools and resources Contributingto thought leadership through speaking or writing About You We’re seeking candidates with: Extensive experience working as a privacy consultant, in‑house privacy officer, privacy regulator or in a similar role in privacy or data ethics Proven experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and/or privacy audits across a range of sectors, technologies, products or services A high degree of comfort working with and assessing new technologies Experience in applying knowledge of privacy laws and current privacy topics in Australia and internationally Knowledge of responsible AI principles, how to assess privacy risks in AI projects, and different approaches to AI governance Legal qualifications or demonstrated ability to interpret and apply privacy principles Excellent analytical and communication skills, in order to prepare high quality written advice for clients which reflects their business and meets their needs A passion for practical privacy protection and emerging data issues Enthusiasm to continually learn about new technologies and emerging privacy‑related issues Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate positively to a range of audiences and engage constructively with stakeholders Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment Australian citizenship or residency with full work rights IAPP certifications (preferred) Working With Us This role offers flexibility to work from home with clients supported either remotely or on‑site as required.While our clients are mostly based on the east coast, we welcome applications from across Australia. This is a full‑time role but part‑time arrangements (3‑4 days per week) could be considered for the right candidate.Please note due to the nature of our client work, these positions require exclusive commitment and are not suitable for secondary employment or contract work.
