Minimum 10 years in senior finance roles, including experience as a CFO or equivalent. Construction, fit‑out, or project‑based business experience essential. Proven track record in scaling finance operations, strategic planning, and cash flow management. Deep understanding of compliance, tax, payroll, and financial risk management in an Australian business context. Experience with ERP systems such as Xero and Procore is highly desirable. High level oral and written English-language skills. Excellent organizational skills. Duties and Responsibilities Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Team to guide business planning, investments, and key financial decisions. Lead and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting. Manage liquidity, working capital, and ensure ongoing positive cash flow. Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements. Oversee the preparation of financial statements and board‑level reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Champion a data‑driven culture by implementing systems that support financial and operational visibility. Work closely with Operations, Projects, and Commercial to support margin optimisation, project controls, and budget alignment. Monitor and report on project and business unit profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement. Act as a key decision‑maker and strategic advisor across all financial matters.
