Speers Point, New South Wales Position Details Permanent, Full Time As Chief Financial Officer, you’ll be a key advisor to the CEO, executive team and elected Council, helping shape financial strategy across infrastructure, investment and high‑quality service delivery. You’ll bring a strategic lens to financial sustainability and join a dynamic, forward‑thinking leadership team driving Lake Macquarie’s ambitious vision for the future. You’ll lead our financial services, procurement and insurance teams, support and coach business leaders in financial decision‑making and champion continuous improvement. Your leadership will uncover opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. Describe You You set and implement strategic direction while driving continuous improvement in financial practices, using a coaching and mentoring approach. You bring extensive experience leading large teams to deliver long‑term financial plans. You are a skilled communicator who builds trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, gaining buy‑in for complex initiatives. Your ability to embed lasting change is underpinned by a collaborative leadership style and a clear focus on translating strategy into action. You’ve led through change, standardised financial management outcomes, and raised financial maturity in complex organisations. You’re a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a values‑driven professional who thrives on making a meaningful impact.
