Job Description
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY Carry out the Continuous Improvement process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, lead, and execute on-site continuous improvement initiatives, including project metrics and cost reduction initiatives to drive results, including goal and goal setting, measuring, monitoring, identifying, and climbing obstacles, including resolution and follow-up. Work closely with all staff across departments and coordinate resources to develop problem-identifying and problem-solving skills and a culture of continuous improvement. Lead and sustain Continuous Improvement activities by identifying champions and leaders to execute Continuous Improvement opportunities, including manufacturing, management, and development processes. Identifies process inefficiencies and identifies opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and capacity improvement across the supply chain, manufacturing processes, and development, and coordinates/facilitates activities using cross-functional resources to eliminate them. Drive standardization efforts, including documentation processes, create value stream maps for various workflows, and implement control plans. Implements, monitors, and reviews the information and progress of various improvement projects and procedures throughout the manufacturing operation to achieve set goals and sustainability. Provide updates on project progress, in relation to the strategic plan to on-site staff members, including proposed corrective actions for any deviations from the plan. Responsible for visual management, benchmarking and sharing of best practices in the organization, leading and executing continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives for delivering results, including targeting, measurement, monitoring, identification and escalation of barriers including solution and follow-up. Coach, train, develop, and engage team members throughout the various continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, VA/VE, TPS, VSM, and other relevant continuous improvement tools Document improvement projects in the "CI Matrix" in the TEAMS group in order to maintain a history and evidence of the projects implemented, as well as follow-up on projects planned by the leaders of each project. Assigning points by project type and economic impact based on tabulator to define points per project. Follow-up to Kaizen system award events. Responsible for understanding and complying with the specific requirements set by customers with Zero Defects in view. Process Approach: Manage with a process approach to achieve objectives. It involves understanding, defining, and managing processes with a focus on PDCA and Prevention. Risk Planning and Analysis: Use risk-based thinking with your team and functions. It involves the identification of risks, analysis of causes and consequences, assessment of the level of risk and treatment, documenting the above as evidence of its control. (Applicable for IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) Life cycle perspective: Ensure the identification of the environmental aspect throughout its area, considering the inputs and outputs of the process. Participate in and comply with the requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management system and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 environmental management system corresponding to their position. Prepare evidence of your compliance and support audits Authority: Stop-cancel any process that does not comply with the requirements established by the organization and/or by the quality or environmental-safety management systems already mentioned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Grades: University degree in engineering. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Continuous Improvement position. Tools: DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen events, Analysis Cause Root Methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, TPM, Trainings. MS 365: Outlook, excel, power point, word. Certificated: Green Belt minimum. OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: SAP system. IATF 16949 preferably, not essential. Knowledge or certifications ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards are desirable, not essential. Black Belt certification would be a differentiator. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Intermediate-Advanced English minimum. TRAVEL: Up to 25%.
