Land Buyer (Off Market) Location - Leeds based Salary - £60,000 plus uncapped commission The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading national developer with ambitious growth plans. The business is acquiring and delivering multiple sites each year, and to support this, we are looking for a skilled professional to focus on identifying and securing land opportunities off-market. You’ll use your experience in land research, mapping software, and your established contacts to source commercially suitable sites. Drawing on strong communication, resourcefulness, and negotiation skills, you’ll be instrumental in moving opportunities through to legally robust and deliverable positions. The Person We are seeking someone with a proven track record in land acquisition and lead generation within a land-led environment. You will thrive on converting opportunities into successful outcomes, bringing tenacity, adaptability, and creativity in engaging with landowners and agents. Above all, you’ll be motivated by making deals happen and seeing tangible results. Key Responsibilities Develop and drive a dedicated off-market land acquisition pipeline. Use land research tools and mapping software to identify and evaluate target sites. Build strong relationships with landowners, agents, and local stakeholders to generate opportunities. Apply effective negotiation strategies to bring sites to a deliverable legal position. Track and report progress against agreed performance indicators. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, actions, and outcomes. Ensure all opportunities meet the company’s commercial and operational requirements. Knowledge and Experience Ambitious and self-motivated, with a passion for securing land opportunities. Resourceful and determined, with a creative approach to finding solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess commercial viability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of prioritising workload and thriving in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Skills 5 years’ experience in a land acquisition or related role. Full UK driving licence.
