Job Description
We are seeking 2 pharmacists with a passion for writing and developing content! • 2 positions - 1 x full time (37.5 hrs per week), 1 x part time(22.5 hrs per week) • Remote or hybrid or remote work option • Flexible on location About the role: The role plays a critical role in developing practical, high-quality, evidence-based and relevant practice support and education content for pharmacists and related audiences. It exists to support the strategic intent of the organisation to deliver contemporary, influential, and leading publications for pharmacists. By contributing expert knowledge and insight into evolving pharmacy practice, the role ensures that practice support and education resources remain relevant, practical, and aligned with professional standards. The role enhances the quality and safety of pharmacist practice, supports member engagement, and reinforces the organisation’s position as a trusted authority and advocate for the profession. Key Responsibilities Develop and/or review content for PSA publications (e.g. Australian Pharmacist, Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary and Handbook, professional standards and guidelines) according to the product brief and PSA management processes, to deliver content that is evidence-based, accurate, up-to-date, relevant, balanced and objective. Contribute to the publication process from commissioning authors through to reporting and evaluation. Ensure PSA content is developed and published in accordance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards, internal policies and processes (e.g. PSA Style Guide for Technical Writing), project timelines and other requirements. Contribute to secretariat support to publication boards and advisory committees. Respond to practice support queries in a professional and timely manner, with exceptional customer service and accurate responses. Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts and external stakeholders to ensure content is fit-for-purpose and delivered on time, on budget and to quality expectations. What we're looking for: Required/Essential Pharmacist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with current or recent experience in clinical pharmacy practice in any practice setting. Demonstrated skills in medical or technical writing for health professionals with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to interpret health-related information from a range of reliable sources and write content based on that information that is easy to read and understand. Sound customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving and time management skills to manage a complex workload and competing priorities. Sound digital/IT skills including competency in using Microsoft Office suite and online reference texts. Motivated and proactive with ability to work independently under limited guidance, or as part of a local or national team. Personal attributes of courtesy, tact, discretion and respect with the ability to observe confidentiality and behave in an ethical manner at all times. Desirable Experience in the development of guidelines, education and assessment for health professionals. Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues and opportunities in contemporary pharmacy practice and workforce development both nationally and internationally. Why PSA?
