System Administrator

We are currently looking for an experienced System Administrator to join a Security Operations team based in Ispra, Italy . The role involves managing and securing IT systems and networks, combining daily operations with participation in strategic projects related to cybersecurity and infrastructure management. Main responsibilities: Support the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems and servers. Implement and manage network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Handle vulnerability detection, incident response, and remediation processes. Collaborate on infrastructure and security improvement projects. Ensure system reliability, availability, and compliance with security standards. Required skills and experience: Expert knowledge of firewall technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware NSX). Proficiency in VPN standards (IPSec, SSL). Experience with IDS/IPS and vulnerability management tools (Tenable Nessus, Tenable Security Center). Strong background in Windows Server / Active Directory administration . Familiarity with Web Application Firewalls (e.g., F5) and security monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk). Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP , and multi-factor authentication systems .
