Job Description

Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) and Wimmera CMA are Victorian Government statutory authorities whose role is to work with and support natural resource management agencies, Traditional Owners and local communities to improve sustainable land use, biodiversity and water resources management. About the opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced coordinator to provide peer-based leadership that supports the role of CMA’s to participate in regional IWM planning and delivering IWM projects across Victoria. IWM is a holistic and collaborative approach to the way we plan for and manage all elements of the water cycle. IWM considers how the management of potable water, wastewater and stormwater can benefit our environment while also contributing to water security, public health and urban amenity. It fundamentally shifts the way water, land use planning and urban development opportunities are understood and undertaken in Victoria. In this role you will support regional CMAs to deliver on their IWM obligations and to play a stronger, more consistent role in IWM planning and implementation across the state. You will maximise the impact of the CMA IWM Officer roles by driving cross-regional collaboration on shared priorities, promoting consistency, and shared learning, as well as assisting to enhance clarity of current and future CMA IWM roles and responsibilities. The role is full time or 0.8 FTE fixed term for four years as part of a specific but limited DEECA funding source. We offer flexible work arrangements and between Corangamite and Wimmera CMA’s can offer a work location in either Colac, Geelong or Horsham. Remuneration for the role will commence at $96,492 per annum depending on experience plus superannuation. About you Demonstrated experience working in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, or collaborative project management and leading complex projects involving inter-agency collaboration Knowledge or and demonstrated experience of integrated water management, stormwater management, planning and property development, and/or the water sector in Victoria (highly desirable). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to positively engage and foster strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and community. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and to work independently. Demonstrated ability to multitask, problem solve and learn. Demonstrated ability to model the Authority’s Approach and the Victorian Public Sector values and behaviours.
