The Role Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, this role provides technical support to enable effective execution of equipment maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. You will contribute to the development and implementation of enhanced maintenance strategies, support the coordination and planning of major outages, and assist in developing execution tools and work management processes to improve maintenance efficiency and reliability. Your Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To Promote Zero Harm through adherence to HSE standards, behavioural safety leadership, and proactive engagement with internal teams and stakeholdersProvide technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance Team for day-to-day operations, breakdowns, and small projectsBackfill of Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent when requiredLeading investigations into equipment failuresCarrying out quality checks, developing work scopes and inspection test plansReview and improvement of maintenance strategiesSupport the planning and delivery of maintenance projects What You’ll Bring Ideally you will have proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Other desirable skills and experience include: Tertiary qualifications in in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in a plant based role, preferably in chemical manufacturing, heavy industry or mining environmentExperience with SAP or similar (CMMS) If you are excited about the role and think you have what it takes but your experience doesn’t align 100% we still want to hear from you.
