Distribution and storage centers are located in various areas around Australia. About the role MAXAM Australia Pty Ltd is seeking to employ an MSU Operator to service our operations in Ebenezer, QLD. The role of an MSU Operator fundamentally contributes to the success of the blast crew on site. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of day to day blasting services, operation of loading hoses and stemming of drill holes. The role can be physically demanding, working in various extreme weather conditions. About the successful applicant To be successful in the role you must be highly motivated with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude towards safety, maintenance, training and the environment. It will be looked upon favorably if you have a mechanical background and have the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on the MSU. Prior blasting experience and qualifications are preferred but not essential. Ideally you will hold current licences in the following: HR Drivers Licence or higher Dangerous Goods Driver Licence Explosives Security Clearance Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening) and be able to obtain and maintain relevant clearances such as a National Police Clearance.
