Underground Planning Engineer

Underground Planning Engineer Job Summary: Techforce is recruiting an experienced Underground Planning Engineer on behalf of one of our clients, a leading gold mining company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, with a focus on underground planning and operations. This is a key role that requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong communication and planning skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement underground planning and engineering projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and optimize mine performance Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to ventilation and underground operations Requirements: Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline Experience: 5 years of underground planning/engineering experience with exposure to drilling, blasting, projects, planning, and scheduling, preferably in a gold mining environment Experience working in contractor mining environments is an advantage Desirable: First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency Proficient user of Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim Legal Requirements: Statutory appointment as the ventilation officer Possible appointment as an Alternative Underground Manager Valid "C" Class vehicle license Valid (within 6 months of issue) National Police Clearance What We Offer: A competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work with a leading gold mining company Collaborative and supportive team environment Professional development and growth opportunities
