Systems Engineer -MBSE with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking seasoned Systems Engineers (multiple openings available) to join our Engineering Center of Excellence supporting confidential, mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. This hands-on role uses Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to shape system architecture, integration, and verification in a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering environment. This position is fully onsite in Owego, NY, and provides a generous relocation package or per diem arrangements. Responsibilities: * Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop functional models and system representations * Lead and perform trade studies and analyses of alternatives to inform architecture decisions * Model and analyze system performance to validate design margins and requirements * Design system interfaces and define allocation of functionality across subsystems * Support requirements definition, verification, and validation activities * Participate in engineering technical reviews and design reviews across the lifecycle * Document technical artifacts and maintain engineering data in controlled repositories * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration, safety, and compliance Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field * 7 years of systems engineering experience * 5 years of domain experience in aerospace/defense or closely related industries * 3 years hands-on MBSE experience (e.g., Cameo or similar tools) * Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-178 development standards * Domain expertise in one or more of: avionic HMI design, glass-style cockpit systems, tactical communications/data links, military navigation systems, embedded mission computing, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), sensor/survivability system Compensation: * $160,000-200,000k depending on experience and degree * Full Benefits -Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Holidays, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law * Flexible onboarding: begin remotely and transition onsite within 30 days * Choose monthly per diem ($2,848 tax-free) or relocation assistance (up to $7,000) This job opens for applications on 11/10/2025.
