About the role As the Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll take ownership of network infrastructure design, automation, and security and work with both internal teams and third party partners to drive enterprise-level transformations. You’ll work across cloud and on-prem environments, utilising a range of cloud, network, and security technologies, developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and embedding security controls to deliver seamless, secure platform connectivity. About you An experienced Network & Security Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-grade network platforms. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge across the following areas: Threat prevention: anti-malware, content filtering, and advanced threat protection (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco) Cloud network security: particularly within Microsoft Azure Perimeter security: firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) Web Application Firewalls (WAF): SaaS, on-prem, or Azure-based deployments Secure connectivity: SSL VPNs, remote access, and segmentation best practices Modern network security architectures: Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and zero-trust principles Communication: internal & external partner/vendor collaboration This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a talented platform team for a global financial institution.
