Head of Finance and Controlling Salary range: 66,000 - 70,000 euros plus loads of benefits About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to lead the finance function within one of their European operations. This is a key role responsible for providing strategic financial insight, ensuring compliance, and supporting management decision-making, P&L Management, to drive business performance and safeguard company assets. Position Summary: The Head of Finance will report to the Finance Director and will oversee the finance team in France. The role involves delivering accurate financial reporting, driving performance improvement through strategic analysis, and managing risks across the unit. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with the management team to support long-range planning and annual planning strategies. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures. • IFRS / French-GAAP (others a plus) • Define and monitor key performance indicators, providing insight and recommendations to management. • Lead financial analysis, reporting, and record-keeping to ensure accuracy and transparency. • Manage and mentor the finance team, developing talent and strengthening business-wide financial awareness. • Provide strategic insights into business drivers, explaining financial results and trends to stakeholders. • Support decision-making with alternative solutions and a constructive, analytical approach. • Safeguard company assets by proactively identifying and managing financial risks. Skills and Experience Required: • 5 years proven experience as a finance business partner, ideally with exposure to a manufacturing ,BIG 4 consulting or operational environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field desirable. • Analytical mindset with the ability to explain the story behind the numbers and identify anomalies. • Proactive problem-solver, able to propose solutions when presenting challenges. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation. • Act as a Financial Business Partner to the Group, brings a strong commercial awareness. • Management of a finance team / experience is preferred.
