12793 – Climate Adaptation Policy Dialogue Specialists Deadline: November 30th, 2025. We are looking for up to two Climate Adaptation Policy Dialogue Specialists to join our dynamic CMCC team. The role bridges science and policy, leading engagement with stakeholders at local, national, and international levels to advance climate resilience. About Us CMCC Foundation is a cross‑cutting scientific research center dedicated to climate change, focusing on sustainable growth, protection of the environment, and development of adaptation and mitigation strategies. We support data‑driven science, train the next generation of scientists, and foster inclusive innovation. Position Overview The successful applicant will work closely with policymakers, community leaders, private sector stakeholders, and multilateral organizations to promote climate resilience and adopt sustainable practices. Responsibilities Develop and implement policy dialogue strategies on climate adaptation. Facilitate engagement between governments, research institutions, the private sector, and civil society. Organize and moderate policy forums, workshops, and stakeholder consultations on adaptation policies. Conduct policy analysis and prepare briefings, reports, and recommendations. Monitor and assess climate adaptation policies and trends at national and international levels. Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders for inclusive, science‑based discussions. Represent CMCC in conferences, working groups, and policy networks related to climate adaptation. Requirements Master’s degree or higher in Climate Policy, Environmental Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field. At least 6 years of experience in policy dialogues, stakeholder engagement, and climate adaptation governance. Strong understanding of climate adaptation frameworks, policy instruments, and international agreements (Paris Agreement, UNFCCC). Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills across sectors. Experience organising high‑level dialogues, workshops, and policy roundtables. Strong analytical and writing skills, able to translate complex climate issues into actionable policy insights. Proficiency in English (working language at CMCC/RAAS); additional languages are an asset. Duration, Compensation & Benefits Open to internal and external candidates. Based at the CMCC office in Venice. Contract type and gross annual salary determined by qualifications and experience. Welfare package available for contracts of at least 12 months.
