Senior Industrial Data & Analytics Engineer San Giovanni, Valdarno, 3 days a week on-site minimum Up to €60 000 salary Full-time Contract 5V Tech are supporting a leading manufacturing company driving digital transformation on the shop floor. They are looking for a Senior Industrial Data & Analytics Engineer to build and operationalize data-driven systems that transform factory performance. This is not about producing reports, it is about creating automated, actionable insights that drive real impact across manufacturing operations. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role where you will shape the digital factory data architecture from the ground up, collaborate closely with operations and engineering, and make a measurable impact on operational performance. What you will do • Design and deploy ETL pipelines to integrate data from ERP, MES, SCADA, and test systems into a single, trusted environment • Ensure data integrity, completeness, and latency compliance for production-critical datasets • Lead the development of Power BI dashboards for key manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, FPY, yield, bottlenecks, downtime, and scrap • Apply machine learning and AI to predict equipment downtime, identify process drifts, and optimize throughput • Architect robust integration between MES, SCADA, and ERP (SAP) systems while ensuring scalability and cybersecurity compliance • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to translate data insights into measurable improvements • Mentor engineers and analysts on data automation and analytics best practices to foster a data-driven culture • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and directly impact plant performance and competitiveness What we are looking for • Degree in Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field • Extensive experience in industrial data analytics, manufacturing systems integration, or digital factory engineering • Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, ETL, API integration, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, M Query, automation, and governance • Experience with MES, SCADA, ERP (SAP) systems and applying machine learning for predictive maintenance or quality optimization • Strong problem-solving mindset, ownership of deliverables, and excellent communication with cross-functional teams 5V Tech are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this job vacancy.
