Avionics Technician

Avionics Technician Location: Lincoln. Employment Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £41,000 plus package and uplift for night shifts. Copello are looking for an experienced Avionics Technician with hands-on experience working on fighter jet platforms to join a leading aerospace and defence organisation. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, testing, and repair of complex avionics systems — ensuring aircraft are mission-ready and meet the highest operational and safety standards. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out maintenance, calibration, and repair of avionics and electronic systems. Diagnosing and rectifying electrical or instrumentation faults. Supporting flight line and scheduled maintenance on fighter aircraft. Working closely with engineering teams to ensure systems integrity and airworthiness. What You’ll Bring Proven experience working on fighter jet platforms (e.g. Typhoon, Tornado, F-35, Hawk, etc.). Strong background in aircraft electronics, wiring, and systems integration. NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or equivalent in Avionics, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering. Active or eligible UK Security Clearance (SC).
