Senior Business Analyst – Tier 1 Investment Bank Location: Central London (Hybrid, 2 days per week in office) Contract: 6-month initial contract Day Rate: c£650 p/day inside IR35 Overview A Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst. The role will play a key part in defining and implementing business and information system solutions across multiple business areas, with a particular focus on back-office and regulatory projects, as well as the onboarding of new products and services. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of financial products, trade lifecycles, and system integration within a banking environment. Role & Responsibilities: Support the assessment, prioritisation, and delivery of development requests across multiple business functions. Collaborate with IT leads and business stakeholders to define, document, and maintain business requirements. Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps, ensuring visibility and transparency of progress. Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders, including project status updates and issue resolution. Ensure requirements are translated effectively into technical specifications for development and testing teams. Conduct data analysis and mapping across multiple systems to identify gaps and dependencies. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience across full project lifecycles (requirements gathering, testing, implementation). Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, structured business requirements. Understanding of trading book asset classes (FX products, Loans, Time Deposits, Repos). Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities. Understanding of trade lifecycle processes (pre-trade through to settlement, positions, and risk management). Familiarity with Pricing Curves, Exposure, CSA (Credit Support Annex), and SPO (Special Purpose Order). Proficiency in data analysis and mapping, including gap analysis across systems. Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server). Knowledge of system integration with trading platforms such as FXall, FXGO, GPS, and TradePoint. Experience with agile delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps. Package: Initial 6-month contract £650 p/day inside IR35 Hybrid (2x week in London)
