Job Description
Main Functions Mission: Ensure the supply of production inputs and other products and services used in the factory, prioritizing quality and the lowest possible cost. Negotiate with external suppliers, ensuring payment terms, delivery dates, quality, and low costs. Raw materials and packaging may only be purchased from approved suppliers. Identify and develop suppliers in the market that meet the requirements of specifications, quality, competitiveness, delivery times, among others, in accordance with company policy, preparing quotes with three different supplier options. Perform quotation, analysis, negotiation, and selection of suppliers, verifying the best commercial conditions and product quality levels, always analyzing the cost‑benefit ratio for the commercial transaction, without compromising quality. Negotiate products and services with payment terms that meet financial sector standards. Plan and finalize purchase orders and execute the necessary procedures, receiving and analyzing purchase requests, paying attention to the type of product or service, quantity required, and degree of necessity, in order to prioritize service and meet pre‑established deadlines within production planning and other sectors. Purchase non‑stock items and enter purchase orders into the system. Monitor safety stock levels. Develop, update, and control purchasing KPIs, controlling volumes, prices, and delivery times. Develop, update, and control savings KPIs to manage cost reductions achieved by the sector. Contact current and potential suppliers in order to maintain an exchange of advice, negotiation, and technical assistance. Develop at least 3 new suppliers for price and demand equity for products and services with a single supplier. Comply with the company's occupational safety standards, using the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and CPE (Collective Protective Equipment) necessary for the job, ensuring your physical integrity and that of all employees; participate in the SD (Safety Dialogue) and Workplace Exercise Program. Comply with company standards and procedures, consulting them whenever necessary, ensuring quality in the work performed and expected by all internal and external stakeholders. Monitor the activities of the purchasing assistant, providing support and guidance in the daily routine of the purchasing department. Provide feedback to other departments (internal customers) regarding the delivery time of products and services. Perform related activities at the request of the Immediate Superior. Technical skills Required Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related fields Intermediate English MS Office, quality management standards, continuous improvement tools, proficiency in integrated ERP systems, advanced Excel, and Power BI.
