CFO / COO (Operational Finance Leader)

Location: Remote | LATAM (Pacific Time Zone) Salary Range: USD $4,000 – $6,000/month Reports to: CEO About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on CFO/COO — a strategic yet operational finance leader who will own financial management, tax compliance, and daily operations. This person will rebuild internal systems, remove third-party dependencies, and drive operational excellence across a fast-paced, two-sided business model. Key Responsibilities Oversee financial forecasting, planning, and reporting to align strategic and operational goals. Lead month-end close (3-day turnaround), ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage U.S. multi-state tax filings (33 states) and ensure GAAP compliance. Supervise cash flow, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives. Drive operational efficiency across the marketplace (supply-demand balance, fill rate improvement). Oversee financial transactions and payment integrations (Stripe) . Build and lead a small finance team (including a Controller). Collaborate with global teams to ensure KPI tracking and process optimization. Must-Have Qualifications 5–6 years of progressive experience in finance and/or operations leadership. Proven track record as CFO and/or COO (must have held the title). Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state tax filing experience . Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online Experience leading teams and working with U.S.-based stakeholders. Hands-on, execution-driven mindset with strong ownership. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Background in marketplace, SaaS, or high-growth environments. Experience transitioning away from external accounting/tax firms.
