Job Description Job Description About the Role: As a Service Technician at Michael Hohl Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair automotive issues, providing high-quality service that meets our dealership's standards. You will work closely with service advisors to communicate findings and recommend necessary repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and trust. This position requires a strong commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our service department and enhance the customer experience. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. ASE certification in relevant areas helpful but not required. Experience working in a dealership environment a plus. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software. Responsibilities: Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Execute repairs and maintenance services on a variety of vehicle makes and models, adhering to manufacturer specifications. Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology through ongoing training and education. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong problem-solving abilities, which will be utilized daily to diagnose complex vehicle issues accurately. Attention to detail is essential, as you will need to follow precise repair procedures and ensure all work meets safety standards. Effective communication skills are necessary to relay technical information to customers and collaborate with team members. Time management skills will help you prioritize tasks and manage multiple repairs efficiently. Additionally, a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies will be crucial in keeping up with the evolving automotive industry.
