Procurement Specialist

Title: Sourcing Specialist/Buying & Procurement Location: Nailsea, UK Work Mode: Hybrid (1 day remote per week) Duration: 12 months Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 8 AM 4 PM (flexible morning login) Responsibilities: Negotiate cost and delivery terms with suppliers and manage purchase orders for assigned commodities. Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth order execution. Resolve supply issues, manage schedule changes, and ensure on-time delivery. Maintain accurate data within ERP systems to support planning and procurement visibility. Support both tactical purchasing and strategic sourcing initiatives aimed at cost and lead-time optimization. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and commodity buyers to enhance product and process knowledge. Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement projects. Contribute to team initiatives and, where appropriate, lead smaller procurement-related projects. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas , Nuclear , or Engineering industries. Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and negotiation principles. Technically inclined or with a background in electrical or engineering disciplines (certifications are an advantage). Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is required.
