About the Role To plan, organize, direct, and control all operations within the service area of the station, including associated GSP’s, in a manner that provides maximum service to customers, allows on time departures of all aircrafts, and maintains a highly productive and a cost effective station operation Responsibilities Selects, trains, develops, and motivates and managerial personnel. Controls and utilizes manpower through planning, organizing, and scheduling to maximize productivity, working within a capital and operating expense budgets. Monitors daily station performance reports. Coordinates the operations of this unit with other departments such as system control, hub, station management, vehicle and ground administration, aircraft maintenance, etc Coordinates trucking procedures in the event of emergencies, poor weather, inadequate lift capabilities, etc. Provides contingencies in case of equipment failure, etc. Keeps abreast of and ensures compliance with FedEx, government policies, procedures, regulations, and/or leases. Ensures proper security for FedEx and customer properties. Ensures all subordinate personnel are directed and supervised within corporate personnel policies and procedures. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree/equivalent in International Business, logistics, Business Administration or International Business. Must be fluent in English. (advanced) Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience in foreign trade, logistics, and import/export. Knowledge of ramp operations: Ability to understand and manage procedures such as cargo control, handling of hazardous materials, and airport security procedures is required. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and rules governing international trade. Knowledge of aeronautical regulations and civil aviation regulations for overseeing loading, unloading, and ramp security. Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance.
