Head of Engineering Operations – Industrial Automation - North West – Hybrid / Flexible Working – Permanent - £60-70k car or allowance 8% pension contribution Samuel Frank is recruiting a Head of Engineering Operations to join a small but well-established industrial automation consultancy located on the South side of Manchester. The successful Head of Engineering Operations will run the business operations including the engineering team and will be someone who thrives on responsibility and is comfortable working in a small business. Previous experience of working for a supplier in the process/manufacturing industries is key; system integration, machine building or OEM type experience is required. Key aspects to the Head of Engineering Operations role include – * Develop and deliver operational strategies aligned with growth objectives * Lead and grow a small, high-performing team of client-facing engineers and consultants * Head of Engineering Operations will drive digital transformation and process optimisation * Promote a high-performance culture, fostering talent development and succession planning * Manage P&L, budgeting and commercial approvals * Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement * Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and partners * Oversee compliance, risk management, security and safety standards * Company operates in various sectors and the successful Head of Engineering Operations will be delivering operations/solutions in the chemical, power generation and food & beverage sectors. * Working hours are flexible – if you want 2 hours for lunch to go to the gym for example, that will work or if you want to start later and finish later etc. you’ll be the one in control of your time. * All the team attend the office on a Monday and most attend on Wednesdays, apart from that you’ll either be at home, or visiting customers * Working week is 37.5 hours, 25 days holiday plus the company will contribute 8% into a pension fund, regardless of employee contribution The office is commutable from most of the North West given you’re only required to be there 2 days a week.
