Job Description
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for the territories in a designated geographic region. The TSM will be responsible for developing country-wise strategies to meet the organization’s objectives in relation to sales targets, market share and profitability.The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to develop the territories within his designated region and development of the dealer network. The TSM will demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and motivate and train others. A passion for communicating the benefits of Valley products with a proven ability in sales, negotiations, and client relationship management. Essential Functions: Directly responsible to meet sales targets within assigned sales territory Identify new clients and establish ‘Win Plans’ to develop them and be able to deliver complex offer made in collaboration with internal support service Technical & commercial bid documents preparation according to the local requirements within the assign territory. Confident negotiator and ability to close deals and negotiate contracts within company’s guidelines for pricing, and credit. Maintain company’s procedure for credit and be responsible for receivables in his assigned sales territory. Maintain updated opportunity pipeline within Customer Relationship Management system Develop and deploy the sales strategy in the assigned territory Agree on annual operating plan, associated budgets and territory specific strategy, incl Technology, Aftermarket, Water Delivery, Solar, Services and ensure its execution through quarterly reviews, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure financial parameters and targets are achieved. Maintains awareness of markets, competitor activities and problem within assigned area. Recognize developing trends and makes appropriate recommendation. Manage & develop dealership network Maintain a positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities Represent the Company at various trade show and fairs etc. Maintain good relationship with the Dealer network and actively supports the Dealer in the promotion of Valley products and aftermarket activities. Including: Support their sales process Support & develop their installation & after-sales activities Support the development of other service dealers where necessary To provide follow up and training for the Dealers. Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Business or Engineering degree. 5 to 10 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Key-Accounts, Channel management and Private and Public bid document preparation. Must be able to demonstrate a track record of successful sales preferably in agribusiness. Should be skilled in principles of sales management. Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must have strong business acumen and understanding of public and private bids as well as projects financing tools and institutions. Must be willing to travel within territory on a regular basis.
