Our 15-month graduate programme has been designed to give you the essential foundations for a long and successful career with STRABAG UK. Our programme covers key topics such as working safely, emotional intelligence, team development, project management, sustainability, commercial and contractual acumen, understanding about inclusivity, social value and working in a psychologically safe environment. It is the basis of learning about leadership. This is all underpinned by specific experiential learning designed by your line manager. Once your Graduate Programme is successfully completed, we will then discuss with you what your next role could look like. We also work closely with professional bodies such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) who are happy to support our programme via their structured training agreement process. Required profile: Minimum 2:1 achieved in a Civil Engineering degree No more than 12 months work experience Good communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project). Hard working with a positive can do attitude. Completion Requirements: Full attendance and successful completion of all elements of the programme and associated portfolios. Where applicable, you will be signing up to the programme and a professional body such as the ICE, CICES or RICS, completion of the programme requires: Sign up as a Graduate member of your professional body A minimum of 3 quarterly reports completed and signed Continuous Professional Development (CPD) records to be signed off by your professional reviewer such as a Delegated Engineer, Counsellor or similar Approval for completion by your professional reviewer As a Graduate Civil Engineer you will be responsible for a key element of work on a project taking a significant role in technical delivery as well as managing aspects of time, cost and quality and will acquire technical, leadership and project management skills and experience.
