Planner

Planner, Strategic Land. Midlands. Competitive Salary Car Allowance & Hybrid working . Cognisant is working with a residential developer who are currently looking to recruit a qualified Planner to contribute to the promotion of strategic land and progression of planning applications. The role will involve carrying out planning assessments, supporting long-term land strategies, and achieving timely, deliverable planning approvals. Key responsibilities include: Tracking planning performance measures and identifying risks Coordinating consultant teams and managing budgets Guiding design development through the planning process and ensuring compliance with policy, regulation, and sustainability requirements The ideal candidate will: Hold a relevant degree and have ideally one year’s chartered RTPI membership Demonstrate experience in Local Plan promotion, environmental assessment procedures, negotiating planning obligations/conditions, and successfully delivering planning applications Have strong communication skills and be confident with MS Office tools They company offer a collaborative environment, clear opportunities for career growth, and a strong focus on creating sustainable, high-quality places.
