Accounts Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Assistant Location: Middleton, Greater Manchester Reports to: Financial Controller Salary: Up to £32,000 Contract Type: Temp About:We are working with a growing pharmaceutical company based in Middleton, committed to delivering innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes. As part of their continued expansion, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. Role Overview:Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance who is looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, regulated industry. Key Responsibilities: Process purchase invoices, credit notes, and employee expenses Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with bank reconciliations and cashbook maintenance Support the preparation of monthly management accounts Maintain accurate financial records and assist with data entry Help prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers Assist with audit preparation and year-end processes Contribute to finance process improvements and system upgrades Requirements: Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (ideally within a regulated or manufacturing environment) Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.
