Management Accountant

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well established business based in Lutterworth. This role is ideal for someone who has completed their AAT qualification and is looking to build on their skills in a commercial finance environment. The Management Accountant will play a key part in providing accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts. - Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis. - Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. - Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting. - Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances. - Support internal and external audit processes. - Assist with cost analysis, overhead allocation, and profitability reporting. - Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making. - Continuously improve processes and contribute to system efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be: Skills & Experience - AAT qualified (or equivalent). - Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within management accounting. - Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas). - Experience using accounting systems (Dynamics 365 desirable). - Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance staff. - Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
