Information about the position Job description, responsibilities and duties We are seeking an ophthalmologist to join a practice in Guingamp, located in the beautiful region of Brittany, France. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a liberal (self-employed) status with a competitive monthly salary of €14,000 before taxation. In this role, you will work alongside a professional team, including 2 optometrists and 1 secretary, providing a supportive and collaborative work environment. Our client is committed to assisting you with all necessary administrative tasks, such as setting up a bank account, obtaining a social security number, and securing your work permit (if required). Tasks and Duties: Diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, including performing comprehensive eye exams and prescribing corrective lenses. Managing and treating ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Performing minor surgeries or referring patients for surgical interventions when necessary. Collaborating with optometrists to ensure patients receive the best possible care, including co-management of treatment plans. Providing patient education on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options. Maintaining detailed patient records and ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.
