Job Description

Maintenance Engineer Based in Dishforth, our client is a leading provider of environmental, animal and human health solutions and a key influencer in driving health and sustainability throughout the food chain. Our client has four manufacturing sites in the UK, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australasia. Role: Maintenance Engineer Location: A-One (Onsite) Hours: 40 hours per week — Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday (4 x 10-hour shifts) Salary: Approximately £39,000 per annum Circa Benefits: 33 days annual leave Healthcare cashback plan Life insurance (3x annual salary) Salary sacrifice pension scheme Start Date: ASAP Please note There is a vehicle for them to use. This is obv BIK The engineers from time to time get call outs and so the payment is as follows for call outs: You will get £100 a month for being on call and call out payment is 3hrs for call out the hours worked onsite. The Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate for this day shift role will have responsibility of providing engineering support to the production team. Responsibilities: * Carry out all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems * Investigate, root cause analyses and resolve problems relating to machines and provide support for process and quality issues * Ensure all related documentation & record keeping for the shift is up to date * Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system * Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements Essential Criteria: * Time served qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering Role * Good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems * Good working knowledge of product transfer systems including elevators, drag-chain and auger feed systems * Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding * Good organisational and time management skills * An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others * Ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment * Flexible and adaptable * Proactive and motivated with the ability to resolve intricate situations Desirable Criteria: * Experience within a production/ manufacturing environment * Mechanically biased What we offer: * Based in Dishforth * 40 hour week, Thursday – Sunday or Friday -Monday, 4 x 10hr shifts * Company Vehicle * Competitive salary based on experience * Company pension scheme * Life Assurance * Training and development opportunities * Corporate Health Cash Plan and Employee Assistant Programme * Medicash * Refer a friend scheme Please note There is a vehicle for them to use.
