Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer Location: Full time from our office in Trafford House, M32 0RS Occasional site visits for which travel expenses will be paid Working from home: Possible on occasional basis when required provided agreed in advance. Possibility of agreeing 1 or 2 days from home after the first 3 months for a strong candidate. Senior Civil Engineer Responsibilities * Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements. * Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team * Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates. * Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications. * Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards. * Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded. * Undertake work using formal processes and procedures. * Estimate hours required for design packages * Attend and present designs at ALM, KM meetings and similar Senior Civil Engineer Experience Required Qualifications & Experience * 10 years’ relevant design experience in the water industry * Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level * Good level IT * Registered with professional body and working towards chartership Senior Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications & Experience * Chartered engineer * Experience with both clean and dirty water * Awareness of construction methods and materials. * Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
