Job Description

Consulo are proud recruitment partners to a globally respected engineering group operating at the forefront of power transmission, hydraulics and drive technologies. From bespoke hydraulic systems and industrial gearboxes to complete service and repair solutions, their name is synonymous with quality and reliability. The Warrington facility is a key UK site – a well-equipped workshop supporting customers across energy, manufacturing and heavy industry. What You’ll Be Doing * Oversee the daily running of the workshop, allocating jobs and monitoring progress * Lead by example on mechanical and hydraulic builds, strip-downs and testing * Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping across the shop floor * Liaise with engineering and service teams to plan work schedules and resolve technical issues * Support, mentor and motivate a small team to deliver consistent performance * Identify opportunities to improve workshop layout, tooling and processes * Ensure documentation, reports and job tracking are accurately maintained What We’re Looking For * Time-served mechanical or hydraulic engineer with proven experience in a workshop or service centre environment * Previous background as a Workshop Supervisor, Team Leader, Lead Fitter or Senior Technician * Strong practical knowledge of gearboxes, transmissions, pumps, or hydraulic power units * Confident reading engineering drawings and carrying out mechanical fault-finding and rebuild work * A natural organiser with good communication skills and a proactive approach * Someone who takes pride in doing the job right and enjoys developing others around them This is a full time position based in Warrington.
