Job Description

Static Electrical Engineer – Government Site Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Holiday: 26 days annual leave bank holidays About the Role We are recruiting for a qualified Static Electrical Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team at a secure government site in the OX18 area. This permanent, site-based position offers stability, regular working hours, and a supportive team environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and reliability of electrical and building systems infrastructure. Key Responsibilities * Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault-finding * Maintain and repair electrical systems including 3-phase power, emergency lighting, small power, alarms, and controls * Support compliance with statutory regulations and site-specific standards * Respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out remedial works * Work in accordance with MOD protocols and high health and safety standards Essential Requirements * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) * ECS Card * Experience in commercial or facilities maintenance environments * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Eligibility for BPSS Clearance (must have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years) Desirable * City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) – Testing & Inspection * Previous experience working on MOD or secure sites What’s on Offer * £31,000 – £40,000 fixed salary * 26 days holiday bank holidays * Site-based, full-time permanent role * Regular weekday hours (no shifts or call-outs) * Supportive working environment with opportunities for development
