Commercial Managers – Major UK Infrastructure Programme

Job Location

West London, United Kingdom

Job Description

I’m supporting a leading UK infrastructure client in recruiting Commercial Managers (Senior QS / Senior Cost Controllers) to work on major civil engineering projects forming part of one of the country’s largest transport programmes. These roles sit within established delivery teams, managing large and complex civil works packages. The focus is on cost management, change control, value for money and commercial governance within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Two positions are currently open: One focused on a live construction phase, managing a significant civil asset such as a tunnel or overbridge. The other within a closing phase, moving through final accounts, claims, and compensation assessments as the project nears completion. Both offer clear progression routes into senior commercial leadership roles as the wider programme evolves into new phases covering stations, systems, and future civils packages. What you’ll bring: Strong NEC contract administration and cost management experience Heavy civils background (rail, tunnelling, highways or major infrastructure) Proven stakeholder management and commercial assurance capability Desire to work client-side in a structured, collaborative environment The offer: £70,000 base 12% employer pension contribution Hybrid working, two days per week on site, 3rd in an office, 2 at home Genuine long-term career path through future project phases If you’re an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant with a background in major infrastructure, and you’d like to discuss this opportunity confidentially, please get in touch
