Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer Location: OX13 6JB Salary: £41,000 – £43,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM About the Role We are recruiting a Static Electrical Engineer to join our facilities maintenance team covering multiple RAF bases, including Benson and Dalton. As part of the on-site engineering team, you will ensure the ongoing compliance, safety, and reliability of electrical and building services infrastructure. Your duties will include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on electrical systems such as power distribution (including 3-phase), emergency lighting, small power, alarms, and general building systems. This site-based role offers stability, a consistent working environment, and the opportunity to be part of a well-supported team working on high-profile, secure sites. Key Responsibilities * Deliver electrical maintenance services across assigned RAF sites * Perform routine PPM, reactive fault-finding, and emergency repairs * Maintain systems including 3-phase power, lighting, alarms, and controls * Support compliance with statutory regulations and client standards * Work within MOD protocols and maintain high health and safety standards Essential Requirements * Proven experience in a commercial or facilities management environment * Solid understanding of electrical systems, fault-finding, and maintenance * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation * Eligibility for BPSS clearance (must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years) Desirable * City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification What’s on Offer * Salary between £41,000 and £43,000 per annum * Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Role based at secure government sites in the OX13 6JB area * Stable, site-based role with supportive team environment Additional Information Candidates must be eligible for BPSS clearance, requiring five years of continuous UK residency and the legal right to work in the UK
