Maintenance Engineer

Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients based in Merseyside. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support operations through effective maintenance and engineering solutions. Your role will focus on ensuring the smooth running of machinery, reducing downtime, and contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Benefits of a Maintenance Engineer: * Competitive hourly wage of £17.19 per hour * Opportunities for personal and professional development * Inclusive and supportive working culture * Contribution to sustainability and environmental care ⏰ Salary & Hours: * £17.19 per hour * 10-hour night shifts, 5 nights a week Monday to Friday * Shift pattern: 20:00 – 06:00 or 21.00 - 07:00 (1 hour unpaid break) Duties of a Maintenance Engineer will include: * Completing nightly engineering checks (fire-watch, guard checks, machine checks, emergency stops) * Performing PPMs on systems and machines (conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, motors) * Responding to breakdowns and completing work orders/requests * Reporting defects and identifying process improvements to reduce downtime * Supporting operational efficiency and plant reliability In order to be considered for the role of Maintenance Engineer: * Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is essential * Experience working with conveyors is highly desirable * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach * Ability to work independently during night shifts
