Job Description

Production/Works Engineer/Service Controller We're looking for an organised and communicative Engineering Services Coordinator to join our clients' team in Blantyre, reporting directly to the Production Director. This role supports both workshop and field operations, combining planning, technical understanding, and customer liaison to ensure smooth delivery of engineering services. Responsibilities: Assist Works / Production Director and Workshop Foremen with dayto-day activities in Production Office & Workshop (resource / asset management such as fork lift trucks, field vehicles, lifting equipment, COSHH assessments, workshop stocks and supplies). Assist with producing and maintaining manufacturing and field work standards for the company. Prepare work instructions relevant to each job in readiness for review and release to the workshop. Assist with preparation and review of machine manuals/technical documentation where required. Prepare and review jobs for costing/quoting customers. Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and make suggestions/amendments to as/where practicable. Comply with all aspects of the company's ISO standards: Quality Management - ISO 9001:2015 / Environmental - ISO 14001: 2015 - proactively contributing to our continuous improvement programme. Primary contact for field service engineer jobs: Arranging site access with clients, planning engineer labour, preparing risk assessment and method statements, review of engineer paperwork on job completion and preparing reports for customer Dealing with & processing breakdown responses for Service Engineers.Key skills & Attributes: Understand manufacturing processes Understand importance and implementation of health & safety practices Strong communication skills, phone, email, verbal for dealing with customers, suppliers and staff Analytical and problemsolving skills, experience in an engineering background would be most beneficial Computer literate (Office etc) is advantageous, and CAD experience would be beneficial (but not essential) Good planning skills Ability to be reactive to customer needs for breakdowns and urgent repairs Strong teamworking skills required in addition to the ability to work as an individual where required Undertake continuous training and development Please apply with an up to date CV or contact Millie for more information - (phone number removed) INDPERM
