Mechanical Design Engineer

A globally renowned, market-leading engineering organisation are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The primary function of this NPI-focussed role is to design and develop a range of new products and technologies. Key responsibilities include: * Working on design projects from cradle to grave with a focus on the development of new products. * Liaising closely with customers, suppliers, and various internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of a range of projects. * Identifying solutions and implementing directives to increase manufacturing efficiency. * Producing relevant engineering documentation and ensuring design work is completed on time and within budget. To be considered for this position, candidates need to have proven experience as a Design Engineer using a top-end 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge, etc) and be familiar with manufacturing processes and design for manufacture (DFM). Furthermore, it would be advantageous to hold a formal qualification, i.e., Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject. Aside from a competitive salary, this hybrid opportunity (2 days from home) includes a company pension scheme, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), and an early finish on Fridays
