We’re launching a brand-new BMS division and want a talented professional to design, commission, and ultimately lead this business unit. This is a rare opportunity to move away from day-to-day site work and step into a strategic, office-based role with full autonomy to build your department, shape processes, and influence the direction of the business. The right candidate will have a clear pathway to become Operations Director, running their own team and projects while working with blue-chip clients across the Midlands and beyond. What You’ll Do * Lead the design and commissioning of BMS systems across multiple projects * Build and develop a brand-new BMS department from the ground up * Work across sister companies to generate new workstreams and grow the business unit * Take ownership of projects with the freedom to implement your vision and processes * Mentor and grow future BMS engineers as the department expands What We’re Looking For ✅ Proven experience in BMS design & commissioning ✅ Hands-on knowledge of Siemens, Trend, and RDM systems ✅ Strong understanding of IP and BACnet protocols ✅ Experience with HVAC systems (Mitsubishi, Daikin, Systemair, etc.) ✅ Ambitious, proactive, and ready to take ownership of a department ✅ Based in or near Birmingham, Manchester, or Hull What’s On Offer * Salary up to £65,000 (negotiable, annual review) * Full autonomy to develop and run your own BMS division * Long-term career progression to Operations Director * Work with high-profile clients and cutting-edge systems * Comprehensive training and support as you build the department
