Electrical Engineer - Automation and Motor Control

Job Description

Your Role* Contribute to several projects simultaneously in collaboration with mechanical, automation and production teams.* Draft functional descriptions and perform design-related calculations.* Design electrical schematics for custom-built equipment.* Prepare purchase requests and technical documentation (operation and maintenance manuals).* Support and participate in factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning (remote or on location as required).* Provide technical assistance to clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.* Act as a technical resource during client and supplier meetings.Your Profile* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.* Relevant experience in designing electromechanical equipment.* Strong command of both French and English (spoken and written).* Hands-on experience with control panels, customized equipment, motor control systems (VFDs), automation networks, and electrical protection and conductor sizing.* Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (asset).* Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and design software.* Strong teamwork, autonomy, organizational skills, and problem-solving mindset.Working Conditions* Based in Boisbriand, North Shore of Montreal.* Flexible schedule and hybrid work model (50% remote with equipment provided).* At least 3 weeks of vacation plus recognition of previous experience.* 13 statutory holidays and personal leave.* Complete group insurance plan.* Employer-matched retirement savings plan.* Paid training and performance bonus program.* Workplace culture recognized for work-life balance (Concilivi certification).
