Service Engineer

Bedford-based but majority-based travelling, including international travel. Salary-Competitive DOE-Earning potential higher due to travel. Monday-Friday The company: Based in Bedford, you will be joining a well-known high-class machinery manufacturing business. Due to continuous expansion, the company is now looking for an experienced Mechanical Electrical Service Engineer to join their Service department. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of duties from installation, commissioning, service, maintenance, upgrades and more on a range of machinery both across the UK and globally. Essential duties and responsibilities: Travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults Provide technical support and advice to customers Support operators and maintenance teams on machine processes and operations across different industries Completion of post-work documentation and service reports This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required. Skills and Experience required: Experience in a similar role, ideally within a field service capacity Ability to diagnose faults and repair mechanical and electrical industrial machinery Software/PLC experience and knowledge would be highly desirable. Strong customer service and technical support skills Open and willing to travel daily and stay away for periods at a time, both UK-based and globally.
