Project Engineer

Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Motherwell. This is a contract role for 6 months, with possibility of extension of up to 23 months. Responsibilities: - Working to recognised industry standards to produce innovative, high quality software products for UK's leading defence developments - Working within a multi-disciplined team, utilising a variety of tools and programming languages, engaging in all aspects of the software development cycle - Taking responsibility for your own and others work as well as providing technical assistance to support the development of junior members of the team - Leading during assurance and review activities ensuring that all required configuration, release and documentation activities have been produced in accordance with the relevant standards - Translate requirements into software designs, implement and test solutions, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment of the product. Experience: - Background in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related subject - Experience with or knowledge of traditional PLC programming - Experience or knowledge in SCADA systems - Experience or knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
